A man surrendered to police and confessed to killing five people and wounding another yesterday morning in two separate attacks in south China's Hainan Province.
Chen Huangye, 36, from Hunan Province, killed one woman and her son and wounded a girl, aged 10, in Dazhipo Town, Haikou City, at about 6am, local police said. He gave himself up and told officers he had earlier killed another woman and her two sons in Wenchang City.
