Man burns himself in traffic police office
A motorbike rider set himself on fire yesterday afternoon in a police building after his vehicle was confiscated by police because he was driving without a license, police in Chenzhou, Hunan Province, said.
Police rushed the man to hospital for treatment but didn't tell about his condition, Xinhua reported today.
Police said they confiscated Tan Ruinian's motorbike as he was driving without a license and a plate on Chenzhou Avenue on November 19.
Yesterday afternoon Tan allegedly carried a kettle of gasoline to the hall of the city's traffic police office, poured it over and lit up with a lighter, Xinhua reported.
Chenzhou police is currently investigating the case.
