Man castrates 4 residents of care home
A MAN accused of cutting off the testicles of four residents of a nursing home in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province has been detained by police.
The victims, aged between 53 and 80, are in stable condition after receiving treatment at a hospital in Harbin, the provincial capital, Beijing Times reported yesterday.
Two of the men had both testicles removed, while the other two lost one each, it said.
Police identified the attacker only as a man surnamed Wang. In some media reports he is described as being a worker at the care home in Qinggang County, and in others as a mentally ill man who was housed at the facility.
Wang is said to have tied up the men as they slept before performing the castrations.
The 53-year-old victim said he awoke as he was being attacked by Wang. He described his assailant as a 46-year-old resident of the home with whom he had argued earlier in the day.
