Man detained after claiming to be carrying bomb in his rear at airport
A man was sent to detention for five days yesterday after claiming he had a bomb in his rear at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
The man, who was not identified, complained about the slow process at the security checks at the No. 3 passage in Terminal 3. When a security staff member asked him to remove his shoes, he shot back: “Why don’t you let me take off my pants? I have bomb in my ass!”
The security staff member asked him to repeat what he had said, which he unhesitatingly did, local news portal qianlong.com reported.
It was immediately reported to the top officials, who closed the security passage and evacuated the passengers.
The man, who was taken to a nearby police station, admitted he didn’t have any bomb, and was just upset by the slow pace of security process. He told the police he didn’t expect to be detained for his act.
He was immediately detained for five days.
