Man in custody after hijacking Beijing cab
A MAN who hijacked a Beijing cab with scissors and a fruit knife was detained by police this morning.
The man babbled and threatened the driver, and told him to take him to Beijing's airport.
Police responded after receiving the cabby's call.
Police took the suspect into custody. The man, 44, surnamed Bai, is a Shanxi native. His family said he is mentally ill and had been treated in a hospital, according to reports.
