Man jailed for injecting HIV blood into schoolgirl

A man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for injecting the blood of an AIDS patient into a young girl to take revenge on her father.

Xie Long, a drug addict in Luchuan County, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bears a grudge against a man surnamed Luo as he suspected Luo had an affair with his wife, today's Legal Daily reported.

Xie drew some blood from a fellow addict who is an AIDS patient in May last year and he went to the school of Luo's daughter was studying and stabbed the needle in her arm.

Luo's daughter was later tested HIV positive.

The court convicted Xie of murder and sentenced him to 12 years in prison, the paper said.
