Man slashes 6 women with knife

A YOUNG man in south China's Foshan City hacked six women with a kitchen knife, then jumped from a three-story building and died on the spot.
The 20-year old attacker surnamed Xie, a factory worker from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, appeared at a market in Nanhai District at 7pm on Monday with a cleaver in his hand. He walked down the street and slashed six young women.
Five of the victims were hospitalized, with two still in critical condition. A witness said Xie picked only young, beautiful women as his targets and hacked each of them only once before moving on to the next victim, Guangzhou Daily reported yesterday.
The worst injured was a woman surnamed Wu, chopped on the neck and still in a coma. Others were injured either in the neck or the shoulder.
A witness said the man did not look like a crazy person as he dressed in tidy white shirt and blue jacket.
