Man stuffed family in freezer

A MAN confessed to killing his wife, son and daughter and stuffing their bodies in a freezer during the Spring Festival holiday when he went on trial in the southern city of Shenzhen.
Prosecutors said Yang Fei, 39, strangled his wife, surnamed Liang, with her pajama belt after a quarrel at his house in Shenzhen on February 13.
Two days later, he also strangled his 8-year-old son and that night put the two bodies in a freezer he had bought the previous day at a department store, yesterday’s Guangzhou Daily reported.
Prosecutors said that on the evening of February 17, Yang stuffed a towel in his 12-year-old daughter’s mouth and bound her hands with ropes before raping and strangling her.
Her body was also put in the freezer.
On February 19, Liang’s brother reported his sister missing and just 13 hours later, police caught Yang at his hometown in Gaozhou City in southern Guangdong Province.
The newspaper said the court heard that Yang and his wife didn’t live together. Liang worked in Dongguan while Yang had a job in Shenzhen.
Yang was said to have complained often that Liang was doing a poor job of teaching their children and he had developed a hatred for her, the newspaper said in its report of the case.
