Man turns himself in for making terror threat to Air China flight

A man who allegedly made threatening phone calls to an Air China flight yesterday surrendered himself to police last night.
Guangdong Province police said the man surnamed Chen walked into a local police station accompanied by his father.
Initial investigation indicates Chen has a history of mental disorder and he is undergoing hospital examination to determine his mental status.
The Air China flight CA4111 from Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region to Beijing via Chengdu received anonymous calls of threat shortly before taking off on Monday.
The flight crew evacuated passengers, did a thorough search of the aircraft and screened each passenger.
Another Air China flight, CA1578 from Nanchang of Jiangxi Province to Beijing, was also threatened on Monday.
