Maradona auctions lunch to help cancer fund

ARGENTINA'S football legend, Diego Armando Maradona, will auction off a lunch with himself during his China trip to support cancer patients with poor economic means.
The auction, starting from 1 yuan (US$0.15), is open to the public.
People donating one yuan via www.warmchina.org or sending "1" in text message to 1069-9993-0307 are eligible to participate in the bid.
Candidates need to log on www.jskpm.com, the Website of Beijing-based auction house Jiashikai, to fill in blanks as registration in advance.
The bidding will take place on October 16 and the money will be donated to Warm China Foundation under the Red Cross Society of China to build hospitals and aid cancer sufferers.
The winner of the bid is granted to take six others to have a two-hour lunch with Maradona immediately after his arrival in Beijing.
Maradona has planned a 10-day visit to China early November with stops in Beijing, Anhui, Liaoning, Shandong and Henan.
