Marketing trainer gets 11 years in jail for serial rapes

A beauty product marketing trainer in Guangdong Province was sentenced to 11 years in prison for raping nine of his female trainees under the pretense of "helping trainees break through mental barrier," Guangzhou Daily reported.
The Dongguan City prosecutor said the 45-year-old suspect named Lu Yu'an started offering training courses for beauty products marketing skills in August, 2009.
During the courses, Lu allegedly took female trainees to his room alone, as he claimed that only after they dare to take off clothes in front of him or even have sex with him could they "break through" the mental barrier of communicating with strangers and improve their marketing skills.
According to the prosecutor, Lu had raped nine trainees before he was captured. He also allegedly took nude pictures of three trainees with his cell phone to threaten them to have sex with him again.
Some victims said that Lu required them not to tell anyone about the "breakthrough," and they also kept it secret to protect their own reputation.
Lu was captured in his house on December 1, 2009 after a victim surnamed Zeng reported him the police, and his cell phone with nude pictures on was also seized at the scene.
