'Masked boy' set to get operations
A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy from Fenyang City in north China's Shanxi Province, who wears a mask after suffering serious burns, is set to get facial surgery in Beijing - thanks to support from online well-wishers.
Wang Gengxiang was severely burned in an accident in November but his parents could not afford further treatment.
But when web users heard his story and saw photographs of the "masked boy," a campaign was launched to raise money for surgery.
His parents have received donations and best wishes from around the country.
Wang, who said his mask makes him look like Japanese science fiction TV drama hero "Ultraman," is now at a hospital in Beijing for the first of a number of operations.
The whole process may take four or five years.
