MEMBERSHIP of the Communist Party of China has increased to nearly 76 million over the past 60 years, according to figures released yesterday.
By the end of last year, the number of CPC members stood at more than 75.9 million, 17 times the 1949 figure when the People's Republic of China was founded. Last year more than 2.8 million members were recruited.
