CHINA'S top legislature yesterday approved the Cabinet nomination of Miao Wei as the new minister of industry and information technology.
Miao, who replaces Li Yizhong, used to serve as Party chief of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, and general manager of Dongfeng Motor Corp, China's third-largest state-run automobile company. He was appointed vice minister of the ministry in 2008.
