CHINA carried out a land-based mid-course missile interception test within its territory yesterday and it achieved its goal, the Information Bureau of China's Defense Ministry said.
It was the second such test following a successful exercise in 2010. No other details were released by military authorities but weapon system experts said such tests could build a shield for China's air defense by intercepting incoming warheads.
