Mistress claims official took bribes
AN official has paid a high cost for the unpaid promise to his mistress.
Ma Yiping, 46, director with Hanjiang Commercial Bureau in Jiangsu Province's Yangzhou City,, has been suspended from his job for corruption investigation after the mistress published in an online post his promise "by the Party" to get divorced and marry her, today's Yangtse Evening News reported.
Monday's post contained four handwritten letters in which Ma promised to divorce his wife and marry Li. One letter dated January 17 this year says" "I promise to the Party that I will marry Li Qing in no more than three years."
Their relationship turned sour as Ma never divorced and often beat Li up, according to the report. Ma also kept another five mistresses, Li said.
She reported Ma to the district disciplinary authority over corruption, claiming he had taken bribes during festivals and had three apartments.
