Mom hacks son to death for sneaking chicken foot
POLICE in Shanxi Province has detained a young woman who killed her 8-year-old stepson and chopped his body in pieces because he snuck a chicken foot, local media reported.
The 26-year-old stepmother Zhu Hongling told police that she was angry when she found the boy eating a chicken foot without her permission and then started beating him on July 12. But the boy kept crying and to silence him, she took an axe and chopped the boy on his head.
Zhu said she planned to hide the boy's body in a washing machine, but as the child was too big to fit in the drum, she chopped his body into pieces and hid them in different places in her bedroom.
The boy's body, without arms and legs, was found two days later by his grandmother who became suspicious after detecting a strong smell of decay in the room and seeing swarms of flies hovering about. Other parts of the boy were found in a closet in the bedroom.
Zhu said her ex-husband was a drunk and gambler who always beat her and even burnt her with cigarettes. She eventually divorced him and married another man who treated her very well, but then she started becoming violent towards her child and the elder people in her family, police said.
