Most Flu Victims Suffer From H1N1 Virus
THE H1N1 virus is responsible for nearly 80 percent of China's total flu infections on the mainland, and most mass cases of the disease have occurred in schools, a senior Ministry of Health official said yesterday.
A total of 1,502 mass outbreaks have been reported on the Chinese mainland, and 96.4 percent took place in schools, according to Liang Wannian, vice director of the ministry's health emergency office.
Liang said the country would act faster in providing vaccines for more people.
