'Most Wanted' Charged

A man at the top of China's most-wanted list has been charged with 10 counts of rape, robbery and manslaughter involving 13 deaths, including three policemen.

Prosecutors of Foshan People's Procuratorate in Guangdong Province have filed charges against Cheng Ruilong, 36, yesterday's Guangzhou Daily reported.

The Lianzhou City native kidnapped a businessman in 1995 for a ransom of 300,000 yuan (US$43,947), the report said, and this sparked a nationwide crime spree.
