Nation鈥檚 first online urological tumor consultation platform launched in Shanghai
THE nation’s first online consultation and service platform for patients with urological tumor was set up at Shanghai Cancer Center. Through cooperation with high-tech companies, the platform can offer 24-hour service through intelligent robot by a public account at Wechat.
Robotic doctors can give answers for common inquiry and consultation on urological tumor and give patient education while non-urological medical professionals also can receive basic further education on the field, said Dr Ye Dingwei, director of the hospital’s urological surgery department.
“Prostate cancer is rising quickly in the nation and the city, as it has ranked No.5 male cancer in Shanghai due to the rising elderly population and high fat and high cholesterol diet,” he said. “The platform can make it easier for patients and their families to learn cancer prevention and control knowledge any time and any place.”
