FORTY-SEVEN people were killed, 2.5 million were affected and four are still missing as a result of natural disasters across China last month. The worst single event was in Zhejiang Province, where massive landslides claimed 38 lives. The economic cost of all the cases reported was 4.8 billion yuan (US$750 million).
