Never too young for a business card

A MOTHER in central China's Wuhan City designed a business card for her kindergarten-age kid, with the parents' government office titles on it, to get preferential treatments from the teachers.

The mother surnamed Liu said she was only following suit after seeing other kids hand out beautifully designed cards when meeting teachers or new friends, reported the newspaper Chu Tian Jin Bao.

The cards not only give information about the kids, but also names and office information of parents, even grandparents.

Liu said every parent would like their kid to be favored by the teacher and the business card is just a way to attract that attention.

"Bosses in the work place would treat me better if I have some official relatives. The same thing happens in children's world too." Liu said.

Liu said she knew that there were criticisms that this was too materialistic for kids, but she said the cards are also used for socializing among parents and it is necessary to put the parents' information on them.
