SOMALI pirates with automatic weapons seized another cargo ship off Africa's east coast and are holding its 26 crew members hostage, anti-piracy officials said yesterday.
The pirates captured the Panamanian-flagged ship some 320 kileometers west of the Seychelles islands. The hijacking demonstrated a new trend : targeting vessels far off the coast.
