New page in online sex diary: Official seeks help from police

A TOBACCO company official whose diary went online, detailing sexual encounters and sparking an uproar, turned to police for help, accusing the anonymous diary poster of compromising his privacy rights.
An official with the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liao Hongxiu, confirmed that its sales director Han Feng, the author of the diary, had reported the matter to police.
Han was suspended from his post after the diary started to spread online. State tobacco disciplinary watchdogs were conducting investigations, Liao said. He added that the investigative team had confirmed that the diary was leaked from Han's laptop computer.
Liao earlier said the diary was unlikely to have been fabricated.
Han's verbal report to police has added credibility to Liao's assertion.
The diary is still a hot topic on the Internet, with entries explicitly recording his sexual encounters with at least six women working as his subordinates. Han even commented on them in the diary, saying "as to playing women, Xiao Pan is hooked, Tan is regular, and Mo is in the queue."
The diary said he had to pay attention to health because of abundant romantic encounters in 2007.
Han recorded a detailed address of one of the women. Southern Metropolis Daily tried to visit her but failed.
Neighbors of the woman, nicknamed Fang, said she was a good person and it was all her superior's fault that she had been dragged through the mud.
Many Internet users claimed that they had located other women involved with Han and alleged pictures of them were posted online.
But at least one picture was confirmed fake, reported Wuhan Evening News. Liao said the public should stop harassing the six women in the diary.
Internet users have also focused on three men who allegedly gave Han bribes. The men, surnamed Chen, Wang and Li, were mentioned in two entries as having paid bribes of 60,000 yuan (US$8,787) to him.
The three were found to be involved with a project connected to the bureau's new office building.
