New season of 'The voice of China' on air

THE fourth season of popular reality competition series "The Voice of China" will start its airing on Zhejiang Satellite TV tonight.

The jury panel includes well-known Taiwanese singer and composer Jay Chou, Taiwanese singer Harlem Yu, singers Na Ying and Wang Feng. They will have blind audition of talented singers.

In later competition rounds, a new live phase will be added for contestants from different teams to be disorganized in a more fierce battle.

The new season has attracted a number of grass-roots people from the nation to pursue a music dream. Some finalists of the former seasons have already released albums and starred in musicals.

In the opening episode, the audience will be impressed by ordinary people's passion for music. Among them are a female taxi driver, a roaming singer and a young student. They will present new interpretations of pop songs.

The series will run for about 3 months. Outstanding contestants will be selected to perform at an original Broadway musical featuring the scores of Chou's music.
