Nine dead in a boiler explosion in Shanxi
NINE people died and four were injured in a boiler explosion last night in an aluminum plant in Xiaoyi City, north China's Shanxi Province, said a city government spokesman today.
The four injured were still being treated in hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening, said the spokesman.
Officials from the municipal government are investigating the cause of the blast, which happened at Yunfeng aluminum corporation in Yangquanqu Township at around 8 pm.
