No provocative garbs allowed in massage parlors

POLICE in Foshan City, southern Guangdong Province ordered masseuses to wear unified sports T-shirts in an attempt to stop prostitution.

Workplace standards, including dress code and inner decoration, were imposed on massage parlors by the city's Chancheng District police to fight prostitution, Southern Metropolis Daily reported today.

Masseuses were required to wear unified sport T-shirts at work because police found some wear shirts with a deep V-neck that went down to the navel in previous inspections, said Liu Sichao, deputy director of Chancheng Public Security Bureau.

Glass doors should be installed and no catwalk or dancing podium can be placed in each box room. Surveillance cameras should be set up in lobbies, parking lots and lifts and videos should be connected to police network.

Over 1,000 policemen were dispatched to raid two entertainment facilities in Foshan on April 10 and more than 100 people were detained in the raid, Liu said.
