North China to see intermittent smog
THE central and southern parts of north China will see intermittent smog in the coming three days, the national observatory forecast on Saturday.
The smog is expected to gradually weaken starting on Monday as a cold front is in sight to help disperse the pollution, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
From Saturday to Monday, central and east China, as well as parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, will be swept by rain or snow, the NMC predicted.
Starting on Monday, a strong cold wave will hit most parts of central and east China, bringing temperature drops of up to 10 degrees Celsius and strong winds along the way, according to the NMC.
