Nursing home fire kills 11, injures 2
A blaze broke out in a nursing home in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province in wee hours today, killing 11 seniors and injuring 2.
An initial investigation showed it could have been caused by arson and police suspected one of the seniors living there could have set the fire on suspicion someone there had stolen his or her personal belongings.
No detail of the suspect has been revealed yet.
The fire was reported to start at 1:15am in the Lianhe Nursing Home for Seniors in the Hailun City and has already been put out.
All the 11 victims were the senior residents living inside the facility.
