THE head of Hanshan District in Handan City, north China's Hebei Province, died with fatal knife wounds, but police have yet to confirm it was a suicide or homicide, today's Beijing News reported.
Zhang had dinner with some friends on Sunday evening and went to his office afterwards. His body was founded in the office the next morning. Some people said his throat was slashed, but police refused to give any detail.
As police investigation was still continuing, no details would be released, a city government official surnamed Li told the newspaper.
