LIU Tienan, the ex-deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission and former boss of the National Energy Administration, will be sentenced on Wednesday.
The Langfang Intermediate People’s Court in Hebei Province, where Liu was tried in September, said it will announce the verdict at 9:30am on Wednesday.
Liu and his son, Liu Decheng, were found guilty of taking 35.6 million yuan (US$5.8 million) in bribes.
