Officials say sex photos faked, don't show them
A TOP county official yesterday denied an online accusation saying he was among three men having group sex in a set of nude pictures widely spread across the Internet.
The pictures uploaded online were accompanied by photos of Wang Minsheng and Jiang Dabin, top officials of Lujiang County in Anhui Province. Many Internet users compared the photos and said Wang and Jiang resemble two men in the group sex activities.
Wang denied he is in the pictures, while Lujiang government called the nude pictures falsified and a "vicious attack" on both county officials.
Statements were made by Lujiang government on its microblog after tens of thousands of Internet users said the men resemble the county's top officials.
The photos widely circulated on weibo yesterday show three men and two women in a hotel room. The photos were repeatedly deleted by microblog operators for pornographic content but they were again uploaded and forwarded tens of thousands times.
Wang has told People's Daily's website that the photos were "not true" and were used to attack him for unknown reasons. Lujiang government told the Beijing-based newspaper yesterday the photos were "all made by computer software" while local police found that the photo uploader was in Shanghai.
Many Internet users said they found no trace of computer software modifications.
The county published the link of the original nude pictures to prove their innocence, although it violated the platform's regulations. According to the link, the pictures were taken long ago in Kunming by wife-swappers. The county has sent the case to police.
