A man works on the Lanxin Railway in Shanshan County in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The railway’s Xinjiang section, extending 710 kilometers and the first high-speed rail in the region, was completed yesterday. The line links Lanzhou in Gansu Province and Urumqi in Xinjiang and is scheduled to open by late next year.
