One dead, two seriously injured in Qinghai train collision

One was killed and two were seriously injured after an empty passenger train slipped and collided with another passenger train on the Qinghai-Tibet railway in Qinghai Province last night, local authorities said today.

The passenger who died was stuck between two carriages and was rescued out at around 1:40 am this morning. The victim later died in hospital.

The accident happened at around 8:10 pm yesterday. More than 50 people have been taken to hospital as of this morning.
