Online dealer attacks customer for bad rating

A customer who gave a bad rating to an online shop for selling smuggled cell phones was hacked by four strangers, today's Southern Metropolis Daily reported.

The customer, surnamed Duan, is a Zhuhai City resident in Guangdong Province. He was attacked by four men armed with knives on March 5. The attackers fled by car after wounding him with cuts.

Duan said he bought a Samsung smart phone from the shop on Taobao.com, China's biggest online retail platform, and found it was a smuggled product. He asked for a refund but the shop owner rejected his demand. So he gave a bad rating to the shop.

The shop owner found his business suffered from Duan's bad rating and he drove from Shenzhen to Zhuhai to teach Duan a lesson, taking three buddies to assist him.

Police have detained three suspects including the shopkeeper. Another one is on the run.
