Online dealer sells 'ice' through express mail
AN online store owner who sold methamphetamine, also known as "ice," and delivered the drug to clients through courier service was charged with drug offences, the Beijing Morning Post reported today.
Prosecutors said the woman, Chu Xiu, sold 11.73 grams of "ice" to a client surnamed Zhang through her online store and mailed the drug to Zhang twice on March 18 and 20 at 500 yuan per gram, the court heard.
Chu, born in the 1980s, ran an online store on taobao.com, a popular e-commerce platform in China, prosecutors said. She not only sold drugs but also drug-taking tools before her arrest, the newspaper said.
Police nabbed her on April 13 and seized 54.72 grams of "ice" from her home, the court heard.
