THE Ministry of Civil Affairs yesterday sent teams to supervise special funds for aiding orphans.
The central government spent 9.73 billion yuan (US$1.59 billion) between 2010 and this year on orphans. Teams will be sent to 12 provinces and autonomous regions to prevent embezzlement of the funds.
