Half of China’s 156 coastal outfalls are discharging too much sewage into the ocean, according to the State Oceanic Administration. A survey found 78 outfalls are discharging excessive sewage, with municipal drainage the biggest culprit. Southern Guangxi is the worst offender among six coastal provincial regions.
