Pair in flag incident held

TWO Chinese men have been detained for stopping the car of the Japanese ambassador and pulling a Japanese flag from the vehicle in downtown Beijing last week, police said yesterday.
The men, surnamed Guo, 23, from Hebei, and Xia, 25, from Heilongjiang, had admitted the offense, police said.
Another man surnamed Liu was issued a warning for blocking the car.
