Party officials punished for misusing power
The Communist Party of China yesterday revealed the names of three Party members who abused their positions of power.
Ren Zenglu, former deputy director of Pingliang City People’s Congress in Gansu Province who took bribes from 71 officials and promoted them, was sentenced to life in June.
Wu Zhiming, former provincial official in Jiangxi Province, received suspended death sentence. He took bribes from 12 officials to promote them.
Li Changxuan, former general manager of the Henan branch of state-owned China Grain Reserves Corp, was sentenced to life in July. He took bribes from 16 officials.
