Party school deputy in sex scandal
A PARTY school deputy head from northwest Shaanxi Province said to feature in explicit photographs has been suspended and is under investigation, The Beijing News reported yesterday.
Claims were made against Qin Guogang, vice president of the Party School of Shaanxi, by a student surnamed Li, who is in her mid-30s.
A Party school is an educational institute where Party officials study.
Li claimed to have had a relationship with Qin before discovering he was married. She says she was beaten by Qin and his wife in his office on December 20.
She posted a series of photos showing a naked man on a bed on Sina Weibo microblog on January 13, along with a photograph of injuries to her head and face and photocopies of her student card.
Li said Qin had promised to marry her before the alleged attack took place.
The explicit photographs were screenshots from a video that has been handed over to the authorities, the report said.
Li’s lawyer, Qu Jianguo, told the newspaper that the one-hour video was taken in Li’s apartment on August 13 last year, Chinese Valentine’s day.
Qu said the two first met in August 2012, and developed an intimate relationship.
The lawyer said Qin promised to divorce his wife but suddenly turned against Li last month.
According to Qu, Qin offered 200,000 yuan (US$33,078) to settle with Li after hitting her, but she rejected the offer.
Li, a single mother with a 12-year-old daughter, entered the provincial Party school in 2011 as a postgraduate student, the newspaper said.
