Passengers protesting against delayed flight left stranded
A CHINA United Airlines flight from Beijing to Yulin in northwestern Shaanxi Province stranded dozens of passengers who refused to board in protest against long delays.
The KN2915 flight was delayed for five hours on Saturday, but CUA refused to apologize for the delay or compensate the passengers, leaving 53 passengers highly irate, China National Radio reported on Monday.
The furious passengers showed their discontentment by not checking in. But the Beijing-based carrier just responded: "If you don't aboard, the flight will take off! Even if there is only one passenger, we will fly!"
Some of the stranded passengers had to change to other flights. Others just cancelled their trips and returned to Beijing, the report said.
