Petitioners congregate
MORE than 1,000 petitioners gathered outside the headquarters of China Central Television in Beijing yesterday morning to air grievances on different issues.
Police were dispatched to disperse the petitioners. No clashes were reported.
Witnesses said the petitioners did not shout slogans. They wanted to submit complaints to CCTV but were stopped by police.
A police spokesman said petitioners go to CCTV to voice grievances on December 4, which marks National Law Awareness Day.
