Pit Offcials Sacked After Blast Kills 108
SOME officials of the state-run coal mine in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province where 108 people were killed in a blast on November 21 have been sacked.
Xu Zhengdong, deputy head of Xinxing Coal Mine and secretary of the mine's committee of the Communist Party of China, resigned after the blast and took responsibility. His resignation was approved yesterday.
Three other officials at the mine have been sacked.
