Pointed threats
POLICE in central China's Henan Province have caught three people spreading online rumors of syringe attacks, according to officers. Wang Zhen, 23, published an online post on September 12 claiming that he planned to attack residents. Han Yapu wrote a post on September 9 saying some Uygurs had attacked local people with syringes. Wang Haifeng, a college student, said Uygurs were carrying out syringe attacks in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Police detained Wang Zhen and Han, and handed Wang Haifeng over to his school.
