Police hunt for bus knife attacker in E China

POLICE are hunting for a man who have stabbed four passengers on a bus in east China's Jiangxi Province, local public security authorities said today.

The man ran away from the scene after he wounded the four people with a knife around 2:36pm yesterday, according to the public security bureau of Yichun city.

The injured have been hospitalized and they are in stable condition, said the police.

Witnesses said the man had a brush with other passengers before the violence.

Investigation into the case is underway.
