Chinese police are hunting a man suspected of killing five members of a migrant family, including an 8-year-old girl, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Police officers from Linhe District, Bayannur City of Inner Mongolia, believed after initial investigations that Li Huanwen, 42, was involved in the brutal murders on March 27.
Li, a native of Shouguang, Shandong Province, has been wanted by Shandong police since 2006 for alleged involvement in more than 40 armed robberies with others.
Linhe public security bureau issued a warrant for arrest yesterday, promising to reward those who provided "helpful clues."
Police officers found five bodies in a house in eastern Linhe Saturday night after receiving a public report the same day.
The victims were Zhang Jianrui, 48, his wife, their two sons aged 24 and 21, and the 8-year-old daughter.
The family came from Shandong Province in east China. They were running a factory in Linhe making furniture materials, police said.
