Police investigate sex scam
Police in southwest China are probing a fortune teller who allegedly convinced females to have sex with him to cure their infertility and to improve their futures after some people claimed they were cheated on a microblog.
Investigations showed the man in Chengdu City, capital of Sichuan Province, claimed he was gifted with divine power that could help women get pregnant. One should drink water that contained a "mysterious power," undergo a ceremony and have sex with him to realize their dreams of having a baby, -according to the -fortune teller, who called himself Wu Zhonghai, reported Chengdu Evening News yesterday.
Each customer was charged 1,200 yuan (US$182) to guarantee the result, and Wu promised 100 percent success.
After being alerted to the possible scam by several postings on a Twitter-style microblog, police decided to investigate the situation.
However, none of the alleged victims have thus far decided to press charges.
