Police offer 200,000-yuan reward for capture of escaped felony suspect
POLICE are offering a 200,000-reward (US$31,560) for the capture of a suspect of felony crime who escaped while being escorted from Shenzhen to Huizhou in south China’s Guangdong Province, China News Service reported Monday.
Police said Pan Mingtan, 21, whose alleged crime wasn’t exposed, fled last Friday afternoon while he was escorted to Boluo County in Huizhou City for investigation, with his hands and feet shackled.
Local villager had reported to police that clothes and shoes were missing from home at around 4pm last Friday, which implied Pan might have changed his suits.
Police said who find and suppress Pan will receive 200,000 yuan as rewards and those who offer clues leading to Pan’s capture will be rewarded 100,000 yuan.
Pan is native of southwest Chinas’ Guizhou Province. He is about 1.65 meters high and of medium build.
