Police offer reward to trace snatched baby

POLICE in south China's Guangdong Province are offering a reward of 50,000 yuan (US$7,324) for tips leading to an 11-month-old boy who was snatched by two people in front of his home, China News Service reported today.

The baby has a ladder-shaped birthmark on his right buttock, according to police. He was playing with his five-year-old brother in front of their home in Longjiang Town of Foshan City's Shunde District on Saturday afternoon while their mother Yang Qianqian was bathing inside, the report said.

Yang heard screaming outside and the roar of a motorcycle, then her elder son ran in crying that his baby brother had been taken.

She saw two people who fled holding the baby and called police.
